Measuring 2.4 meters, the new large form-factor, high-quality C-Band antenna is available in two models - Circular-only polarized, and Circular and Linear polarized - and provides seamless, uninterrupted broadband connectivity for worldwide on-demand communications. Developed in-house by Intellian engineers, the v240C antenna features Intellian's patented Automatic Polarization Switching technology that eliminates the need for manual changes by switching between linear and circular polarization when required. The new Intellian C-Band antenna provides an open-standard platform that works with virtually any modem and ensures compatibility with all service providers. The Intellian v240C ensures professional mariners have an unparalleled, rock-solid, worldwide satellite communications solution for their vessels.
The v240C embodies the latest in C-band technology design and boasts the highest radiated power (EIRP) density. The antenna incorporates high-gain parabolic ring focus components, a carbon fiber parabolic reflector, and newly designed feed-horn and RF components that not only deliver ultra-reliable communications performance at sea; but also result in a weight that averages 800 pounds less than comparable products on the market. The antenna supports a variety of Block Up Converters (BUC) ranging from 25W to 200W, allowing individuals to choose the bandwidth that is right for their needs.
For systems with BUCs that are 100W or higher an internal air conditioning unit is available. The v240C Antenna Control Unit (ACU) features a built-in Wi-Fi antenna and router that makes it easy to control and monitor the system wirelessly. Operators can also access the system's ACU remotely via remote IP network control. Exemplifying Intellian's design philosophy that simplicity equals reliability, the v240C ensures easy installation, operation and maintenance.
