May 18, 2011 - Due to extra thick XLPE insulation, DRIVEFLEX(TM) offers 1,000 V VFD 90°C rating per UL as well TC-ER and WTTC approvals. XLPE insulation is thermo-set material with elevated voltage breakdown level, inherently addressing corona discharge effect and making it suited for any type of motor and drive application. Along with design that facilitates stripping and installation, cable features foil and braid shield combination with drain wire that ensures compliance with EMC requirements.

Lutze DRIVEFLEX(TM) VFD Cable - a Premium Solution with Flexible XLPE Insulation

Charlotte, NC - Lutze Inc builds on its longstanding philosophy and expertise in flexible industrial cable and introduces DRIVEFLEX(TM) XLPE VFD cable. DRIVEFLEX(TM) is the most flexible XLPE cable in its class - offering easy stripping & installation, thus saving time and money. The innovative design of DRIVEFLEX(TM) provides all the benefits of XLPE without the stiffness which is traditionally the case with this material. XLPE is a very low capacitance insulation offering superior electrical characteristics for use as a VFD cable and especially in long cable runs. The XLPE insulation is a thermo-set material with a very high voltage breakdown level, thus inherently addressing the corona discharge effect and making it the premium insulation for any type of motor & drive application. XLPE insulation is recommended by most Drive manufacturers, and Lutze DRIVEFLEX(TM) exceeds their VFD cable requirements. Thanks to the extra thick insulation the cable offers a 1000V VFD 90°C rating per UL, as well TC-ER and WTTC approvals. A foil and braid shield combination with drain wire assures compliance with EMC requirements.
