July 11, 2014 - With max sensing range of 250–3,500 mm, UA18EAD and UA30CAD Series accommodate difficult distance and level applications via teach procedure and 2 output configurations: 2 digital NPN or PNP outputs, and analog output in 4–20 mA or 0–10 Vdc as well as one digital NPN or PNP output. Sensors come in M18 or M30 versions, have 12–30 Vdc power supply rating, and are available with 2 m cable or M12 quick-disconnect plug. Construction is available to IP67 and NEMA 1/2/4/4X/5/6/6P/12.

Buffalo Grove, IL – CARLO GAVAZZI is proud to announce the launch of their new Stainless Steel UA18EAD and UA30CAD Series Ultrasonic Sensors with Digital and Analog Output Configurations. These sensors feature maximum sensing ranges of 250 to 3500mm and offer flexible output configurations to fit most every application. With the expansive product offering in these two series of products, it is quite possible to standardize on one family of products. With its simple teach procedure and output flexibility, these sensors are a great solution for the most difficult distance and level applications.

These new ultrasonic sensors have two different output configurations.  The first has two digital NPN or PNP outputs.  The second has an analog output in either 4-20mA or 0-10VDC, as well as one digital NPN or PNP output.  The two digital outputs can be set as standard switching outputs with two set points or as a window function.  The analog output can be set with a positive or negative slope for both filling and emptying applications.

These new products are available with a 2m cable or M12 quick-disconnect plug. The UA18EAD and UA30CAD Series ultrasonics are designed for use in a wide variety of applications, including: material handling, food & beverage, HVAC, packaging, plastics, agriculture, and automotive. Technical specifications include:

• M18 or M30 Versions

• 12 to 30 VDC Power Supply
• IP67 Ratings & NEMA 1, 2, 4, 4X, 5, 6, 6P, 12
