Emerson’s New Design Boosts Daniel SeniorSonic™ Ultrasonic Gas Flow Meter Performance
HOUSTON, TEXAS (May 12, 2004) -- Emerson Process Management has announced a new design release that boosts performance of its 4-path Daniel SeniorSonic Ultrasonic Gas Flow Meter. The Daniel meter is an industry leader in custody transfer and other applications requiring high accuracy.
Already delivering superior low-to-high flow accuracy (±0.1% after flow calibration) and excellent long-term measurement accuracy, the new design will improve meter performance by providing:
- Accurate meter performance of up to 100 feet per second
- Over-range performance of up to 125 feet per second
- Lower signal distortion, resulting in improved waveforms at higher velocities
- Higher pipeline throughput without sacrificing measurement performance or having to purchase a larger diameter line size
- Easier field maintenance with fewer transducer assembly parts
