CONEC’S Flange Mounted USB 2.0 Connectors Deliver Reliable Protection For Harsh Environments
GARNER, N.C., – CONEC, a manufacturer of high-quality connectors, has expanded its bayonet locking, IP67-rated industrial USB 2.0 connector series utilizes a 4-hole flange mount nickel plated die-cast housing. The water-resistant USB 2.0 connectors can be mounted on the front or rear side of enclosure panels up to 3.2mm thick. The interface of the USB 2.0 connector meets IP67-rating requirements when mated or covered with a protective cap. The addition of four-hole mounting provides extra protection against harsh environment elements, while facilitating easier “on-the-fly” connections for industrial applications.
The USB 2.0 connector also features M28 threads as an additional connection method to bayonet locking. The industrial-rated USB 2.0 connector operates within a temperature range of -40șC to +80șC, with a 1.5A maximum current rating at 25șC. The voltage handling of the rugged USB connector is 100VDC. The nickel plated die-cast outer body is RoHS compliant.
“The addition of a flange mount option to our USB 2.0 connector series provides design engineers with a USB interface for harsh environments and high vibration applications and will withstand the effects of torque during repeated mating and un-mating cycles.” said Peter Persico, Technical Support Specialist at CONEC. “We expect to see the USB 2.0 flange mount connector integrated into a variety of industrial settings where sealing protection is just as important to the functionality of the connector as data transmission.”
