June 8, 2012 - Intended for MILCOM and infrastructure applications, MAAM-010617 comes in Pb-free SOT-89 package and is tunable over 30-4,000 MHz range to optimize performance based on end requirements. This 30 dBm GaAs MMIC amplifier, biased with single +5 V supply, has quiescent current of 420 mA and is fabricated using HBT process. Operating bandwidth can be optimized with selective off-chip components. Properties include 13 dB gain, 4.5 dB noise figure and 18 dB return loss for input and output.

M/A-COM Technology Solutions Announces New 1 Watt Linear RF Driver Amplifier for MILCOM and Infrastructure Applications


Amplifier is Tunable over a Wide Frequency Range and Exhibits High Linearity

Lowell, MA - M/A-COM Technology Solutions Inc. (M/A-COM Tech), a leading supplier of high performance analog semiconductor solutions, introduced today a new RF Driver Amplifier for MILCOM and infrastructure applications.

The MAAM-010617 is a 30dBm GaAs MMIC amplifier which exhibits high linearity over a wide input power range. Biased with a single +5V supply, the MAAM-010617 has a quiescent current of 420mA. The amplifier is tunable over the wide frequency range of 30 MHz to 4000 MHz, in order to optimize its performance based on the end application. Packaged in a lead-free SOT-89 package, the MAAM-010617 is fabricated using an HBT process to realize a constant high linearity over a wide input power and frequency range. The operating bandwidth of this device can be optimized with selective off-chip components.
