Anoka, Minnesota: Mate introduces RAPIDSET(TM) adjustable thick turret canisters for use
with Mate Original Style and AMX(TM) punch press tooling. RAPIDSET also is compatible with
Amada Standard, Amada ABS, and Wilson Standard tooling styles.
Designed to provide quick tool changes and make punch length adjustment faster with
existing tooling inventories, RAPIDSET is the latest innovation from Mate, the single source tooling supplier for all tooling needs.
Available in A and B station canisters, RAPIDSET works with keyed or non-keyed
punches and has these features:
o Non-rotating clamping head with easily adjustable clamping screw for setting punch
length. Has textured Gription(TM) canister feature for ease of handling.
o Pre-loaded, self-contained spring pack provides consistent stripping pressure,
consistent die penetration, and reduced slug-pulling.
o Greater grind life than Original Style: 0.315 inch (8.00 mm) in 0.039 inch (1.00 mm)
material with 0.118 inch (3.00 mm) die penetration.
o Fast punch length adjustment without removal from guide.
o Can be easily used with existing guides with or without pins.
o Punches material thickness up to 0.250 inch (6.35 mm). (Competitive canisters
restricted to 0.150 inch (3.81 mm) material).
