Spirax Sarco Expands the Inline FA Drain Trap Line

BLYTHEWOOD, SC 'Spirax Sarco, Inc., (SSI) has released an extension to the FAI Series of inline float and thermostatic traps. The 1-½-in. NPT FAI-30 and FAI-200 are straight through, in-line float drainers with single seats and lever operation. They are well suited for receiver and air line drainage, where complete separation of liquid from the vapor phase is important over varying flow rates.

The FAI Series is offered at two flow ratings: The FAI-30 can handle up to 11,549 lb/hr at 30 psig and 450°F, and the FAI-200 at 12,945 lb/hr at 200 psig and 450°F. The FA trap discharges continuously in direct response to variations inliquid flow rate, assuring thorough drainage of the system.

The series works effectively and efficiently through its entire range with an infinite turndown ratio on both pressure and flow. The single-seated mechanism ensures a tight shut-off under no-load condition.

Standard construction includes a cast iron body; all stainless steel corrosion-resistant internal components; NPT pipe connections that are directly inline with no change in elevation; and a plugged bottom drain. Options include a gage glass assembly.
