Severn Trent Services Introduces the ClorTab(TM) High Volume Pressure Tablet Feeder
Fort Washington, Pa. - October 7, 2003 - The new ClorTab(TM) High Volume Pressure Tablet Feeder system developed by Severn Trent Services will be introduced at the 2003 WEFTEC Conference and Exposition, Booth Number 3725, in Los Angeles, California. The ClorTab system quickly and safely produces a continuous supply of chlorine equivalent hypochlorite disinfection solution, guaranteeing a consistent solution that can be produced rapidly during peak demand periods.
"Since our new tablet feed system provides a consistent disinfection solution strength, maintaining constant residual levels throughout the applications is simple," stated Lori Klukiewicz, ClorTab product manager for Severn Trent Services. The ClorTab system is available with output capacities up to 120 PPD and can produce either a 0.9wt% or 5.0wt% equivalent hypochlorite solution. Unlike other commercially available tablet feeder systems, ClorTab produces up to 5 pounds per hour of the hypochlorite solution on demand, allowing continuous dosing from the dosing tank.
The ClorTab system is conveniently designed to hold standard tablet package container weights of 50lb and 100lb. This simplifies the loading process, minimizes operator handling and extends tablet shelf life by eliminating the need to store partially filled tablet containers.
ClorTab has been designed to work optimally with Severn Trent's AQUAWARD® NSF 60 certified or equivalent calcium hypochlorite tablets. NSF certification on the ClorTab unit is pending.
