February 3, 2004 - Model SPP-3002 printed circuit mount transformer is designed for use with TNY255 TinySwitchâ„¢ integrated offline switching power supply chip from Power Integrations, Inc. Other applications include those requiring inputs of 85-265 Vac, 2 dc outputs ranging from 6.0-12.0 Vdc, and 1 dc output ranging from 12-24 Vdc at power of 2.0 W max. Dielectric strength is rated at 4,000 Vrms. Dimensions are 18.2 x 16 x 17.70 mm and unit meets IEC 950/EN60950 standard.

New Switchmode Transformer For Use With TNY255 TinySwitchâ„¢
Prem Magnetics, Inc. newest printed circuit mount transformer is designed for AC to DC Converter applications - specifically in conjunction with the TNY255 TinySwitchâ„¢ integrated off-line switching power supply chip from Power Integrations Incorporated.
Applications possible include those requiring inputs of 85 to 265 Vac and 2 dc outputs ranging from 6.0 Vdc up to 12.0 Vdc, or 1 dc output ranging from 12 Vdc up to 24 Vdc at a maximum power of 2.0 W.
The SPP-3002 utilizes reinforced insulation to meet the creepage and clearance distance minimums of the IEC 950 / EN60950 standard for working voltages on the input up to 250 Vrms. The dielectric strength (HIPOT) is rated at 4,000 Vrms and the bobbin material is classified UL 94V-0. Dimensions for the SPP-
3002 are 0.717" (18.20 mm) L x 0.630" (16.00 mm) W x 0.697" (17.70 mm) Height.
