Switch Mode & Pulse Transformers for Hipot Up to 40 KVAC

Encapsulated Switch Mode and Pulse Transformers for high frequency switching applications have been specifically designed to meet the high reliability demands for BIL (Basic Impulse Level) ratings at the PCB level found in power management, power control, and power conversion systems. Available in a series of configurations and ratings, different models are intended for applications involving switching frequencies from 10KHz to 500KHz, Hipot requirements from 5KVAC to 40KVAC, and BIL ratings up to 60 KV.

When integrated with the Bicron Tunable Transformer Platform (TTP™) (A systems design approach for magnetic sub-systems) additional benefits can include improved power efficiencies, reduced topologies and reduced parts count.

Current standard part numbers and operating ranges are shown in the following table:
PART# BIL RATING SWITCHING FREQUENCY HIPOT LEVEL CORONA LEVEL@ <5Pc
B9718 12KV-15KV 10KHz-500KHz 5 KVAC 4KVAC
B9582 12KV-15KV 10KHz-500KHz 8.5 KVAC 5KVAC
B8831 30KV 10KHz-100KHz 15 KVAC 5.2KVAC
B9261 60KV 10KHz-100KHz 30KVAC 10KVAC
B9250 60KV 10KHz-100KHz 40KVAC 15 KVAC
B9615 60KV 10KHz-100KHz 40KVAC 20KVAC
