Offering 360° rotation, magnetic chuck allows specialty fixtures to be mounted to backside of magnet while maintaining precision ground surface on magnet face.

Grinder Gives The Performance You Rely On
Williams and White, Burnaby BC (www.williamsandwhite.com), introduces the KGDM Vertical Spindle Surface Grinder. This grinder delivers the reliable performance required in the harshest of environments. Carriage travel incorporates linear bearing technology resulting in less downtime and greater accuracy in the grinding process. CNC control of the grinding stone down feed gives greater controllability, with resolution up to 0.0001". The 360 deg rotation of the magnetic chuck gives extended versatility of the machine as specialty fixtures can be mounted to the backside of the magnet while maintaining a precision ground surface on the magnet face. The KGDM is equipped with through spindle coolant standard giving better grinding performance through the reduction in material expansion while cooling the spindle motor resulting in a longer life span for the motor. The KGDM is available in multiple lengths ranging for 60" to 240".
