April 28, 2010 - Suited for deepwater subsea hydraulic control systems, magnetically actuated Model 2406-100 uses only 2 wires and is supplied with underwater connectors. Unit features operating pressure of 0-3,000 psid, switching voltage of 500 V max, and switching current of 2 A max. Measuring 1.1 in. diameter x 5.7 in. long, switch is constructed of 316L stainless steel and meets highest industry standard protection against continuous immersion in water, IPX8 or IEC 529.

New Pressure Switch for Deepwater Subsea to 20,000 Feet Ocean Depth


ANAHEIM, CA, USA (April 13, 2010) - Hydracon Subsea has introduced a new pressure switch model 2406-100, submersible to 20,000 feet ocean depth. The pressure switch is used on deepwater subsea hydraulic control systems.

The switch is magnetically actuated, uses only two wires, no electric power consumption, and is supplied with underwater connectors. It is constructed of 316L stainless steel with a small body size, 1.1" diameter x 5.7" in length, and weighs only 19 ounces. The switch meets the highest industry standard for protection against continuous immersion in water, IPX8 of IEC 529. This new pressure switch provides proven dependability.
