Genelec Shapes the Future of Portable Premium Sound with the New Limited Edition 6000A Tube

LISALMI, Finland -- The new Genelec 6000A Tube [http://www.genelectube.com ] is an extremely compact active stereo loudspeaker designed to be used with computers, televisions, and portable audio players. Designed from ground up as the perfect portable speaker, the 6000A Tube brings a new way to enjoy the Genelec [http://www.genelec.com ] sound wherever and from whatever device you like.

The minimalist Harri Koskinen -designed aluminium enclosure is at home in confined spaces and robust enough for travelling. The features include a remote control and an automatic signal sensing function that switches the speaker to stand-by mode if no audio signal is detected for approximately ten minutes. The real revelation however is that the 6000A Tube is designed to create a diffuse sound field that fills the room with sound effortlessly.

And unlike other speakers, the 6000A Tube actually benefits from being placed near an object, wall, or corner making the sound spread all around.

For the past 30 years Genelec's commitment to research and development has resulted in a number of industry firsts, and established Genelec as the industry leader in professional active monitoring. The state of the art active monitoring equipment has received numerous awards worldwide and is considered the best in the business - a golden standard against which all other monitors are judged. During the past decade Genelec has expanded its range to include speakers optimized for home use. Yet the goal remains the same as for professional speakers: the best possible sound reproduction.

Every Genelec speaker is handcrafted to perfection and individually calibrated in Finland. While it is easy to appreciate the design and technology of the new Genelec 6000A Tube [http://www.genelectube.com ], you really have to hear it to know the difference.

Only a limited number of the 6000A Tube speakers will be made. 1000 units are destined for the Japanese market, while another 1000 are sold exclusively through the Genelec webshop [http://www.genelec.com/webshop/genele... ] on first come, first-served basis. The limited edition Genelec 6000A Tube costs 450 EUR including shipping.
