Often used in conjunction with overhead cranes, steerable transfer carts with V-decks transport coil and roll loads up to 55 tons and can be customized to application requirements. V-deck, designed to cradle cylindrical loads, accepts coils/rolls, and then cart may be driven from one area of plant to another across smooth to semi-smooth floors. Operators control cart travel direction and speed using hand-held pendant or remote radio controller.

Steerable Transfer Carts Designed to Carry Coils & Rolls
Steerable Transfer carts with V-decks are designed to transport heavy coils and rolls. Transfer carts are capable of transporting loads up to 55 tons and are often used in conjunction with overhead cranes. The coil/roll is loaded onto the V-deck of the transfer cart (designed to cradle cylindrical loads) then the cart is driven from one area of the plant to another across smooth to semi-smooth floors. Operators control cart travel direction and speed using a hand held pendant or remote radio controller.
Transfer carts are a more economical solution for carrying heavy cylindrical loads in comparison to the cost of purchasing a heavy capacity fork lift truck with a coil ram.
Customization is possible to accommodate application requirements.
