Air pressure of 65 psi is applied to overcome spring pressure and disengage brake, while additional springs between brake facings ensure complete disengagement.

New Mach III NEMA C-Face Mount Spring Set Brake
Walton, KY - The Mach III NEMA C-Face Mount Spring Set Brake is the latest addition to the Mach III line of brakes. The spring-set brake provides power-off holding in four sizes for 56C to 213TC NEMA motor frames.
The NEMA C-Face Mount Spring Set Brake is a spring actuated friction brake featuring a keyed input bore and output shaft. Multiple facings are engaged under spring pressure to hold the output shaft. Air pressure of approximately 65 PSI is applied to overcome the spring pressure and disengage the brake while additional springs between the brake facings assure complete disengagement.
Each brake is completely enclosed in an aluminum housing with corrosion resistant and food safe finish options also available. The units are designed to mount simply and quickly between a standard motor and gearbox.
The NEMA C-Face Mount Spring Set Brake is appropriate for use in packaging machinery, food processing machinery, material handling and automation equipment and other machinery applications where E-stop and power off holding are required.
