Lincoln Electric Offers New Magnum(TM) 250LX Spool Gun

Superb Wire Feeding Capabilities for Aluminum, Stainless and Steel Welding Applications

Cleveland, Ohio - The Lincoln Electric Company has introduced a new compact spool gun solution for its Power MIG(TM) 255C and Power MIG 350MP wire feeder/welder systems. The Magnum® 250LX Spool Gun adds outstanding wire feeding capabilities and premium welding performance, especially for aluminum welding applications.

The top-of-the-line Magnum 250LX is lightweight and well-balanced at only 3 pounds, excluding cable weight. The molded handle design with finger ribs provides both comfort and a sure grip. The gun is rated at 280 amps/60 percent duty cycle and 200 amps/100 percent duty cycle. It is capable of feeding .030-inch to 3/64-inch diameter aluminum wire or .025-inch to .035-inch diameter steel wire on up to 4-inch diameter spools at speeds up to 800 inches per minute. The Magnum 250LX offers easy access wire loading and features a 3-1/2-turn wire speed control at the gun for precise fine adjustment of wire speed. This handy feature eliminates the need to walk back to the power source to change wire feed speed.

The Magnum 250LX Spool Gun boasts a patent-pending spool brake with independent wire levelers and built-in contact tip storage. It comes with Lincoln's Magnum 300 industry-standard expendable parts for maximum compatibility in the field. Both .035-inch and 3/64-inch contact tips are included. It even comes with a durable leather cable jacket cover with Velcro® closure for the generous standard 25-foot gun cable.

In addition to the Magnum 250LX, Lincoln offers another spool gun alternative - the Magnum SG.

Magnum SG
The Magnum SG Spool Gun is a low-cost, lightweight, hand-held semiautomatic spool gun designed primarily for aluminum welding. The SG model features a variable speed control adjustment at the gun, eliminating the need to walk back to the power source to set a weld procedure. It is rated at 250 amps at 60 percent duty cycle. The SG is capable of feeding from .023-inch to 3/64-inch wire diameters on up to a 4-inch diameter spool at speeds up to 650 inches per minute. The SG Spool Gun includes a generous 25-foot cable to allow extra reach away from the power source at the job site. See-through spool and body covers enable the user to see wire supply and check wire feeding for ensured performance.
