Sorbent Products Introduces New Spill Absorbing Mat

Somerset, NJ (October 2004) – Sorbent Products Company (SPC) is proud to announce its first consumer-oriented product – the SPC Spill Absorbing Mat. This 30” x 40” mat is made from meltblown polypropylene and absorbs up to 120 ounces of virtually any liquid – oil, antifreeze, paint, water, household chemicals, etc. From the garage to under the sink, the SPC Spill Absorbing Mat is guaranteed to perform in both consumer and commercial applications.

“We’re excited about the possibilities,” states Michael Hobin, SPC President. “Our industrial distributors with store fronts can sell the Spill Absorbing Mat to their clients for use in their homes and in the plant.” Manufactured with the same durability and quality as SPC’s industrial sorbents, the mat has a non-leak backing and absorbs almost any type of spill or leak, while keeping floors safe and clean.

Distributors and retail outlets can purchase the SPC Spill Absorbing Mat by the case. Each case contains 24 individually wrapped mats and coverts into a full-color, point-of-purchase or end-cap display. For additional product and purchasing information, contact SPC at (800) 333-7672.

Sorbent Products Company has been in the business of making and selling oil and chemical absorbents since 1977. SPC has grown quickly from a distributor of a single absorbent product to one of the dominant producers in the world. Today, SPC is the largest producer of meltblown polypropylene sorbents in the USA with shipping and warehousing capabilities in Somerset, NJ; Reno, NV; St. Louis, MO; and Toronto, Canada. Additionally, SPC is positioned for global response through SPC International, headquartered in Belgium.
