EASi WorkStream Simplifies Stock Plan Management

Press release date: October 14, 2008

Enables True Enterprise Collaboration

PLEASANTON, Calif., Oct. 14 /-- Equity Administration Solutions, Inc. (EASi), today announced EASi WorkStream, the latest enhancement to the company's flagship stock plan management software. EASi WorkStream takes an end-to-end view of the tasks and dependencies required to manage equity compensation and automates portions of the process.

"EASi WorkStream is like having a conductor that ensures everyone in the orchestra has the right music and plays the right notes, on cue, so you don't miss a beat. It takes care of sequencing and complex handoffs to ensure you meet compliance and reporting requirements," explained Denise Vitale, Vice President of Product Development for EASi.

EASi's software leverages a single, real-time data source with built-in triggers to move administrative processes from start to finish. EASi WorkStream includes a Participant Portal and Document Center, Notification functionality along with roles specific to the financial advisor, transfer agent and others who require the information. WorkStream drives additional automation and self-service to save time, save money and reduce errors. Today customers can capture WorkStream efficiencies by linking EASi to their HRIS, Payroll and Accounting systems. They can also generate required valuation, expensing, corporate tax, dilution, and disclosure numbers and entries.

With EASi WorkStream customers can upload addresses and jurisdiction tax rates and the software calculates taxes on the fly. Automated Price and exchange rate feeds eliminate a daily, repetitive task. The E Link Payroll interface lets customers send demographic data, address changes, department, title, YTD FICA and EASi calculates the exact tax amount and caps the FICA deductions. Then, EASi sends back the ordinary income earned and the tax amounts to tax jurisdictions specific to the individual at the date of the transaction. EASi WorkStream also brings in the risk free interest rate for Black Scholes calculations and automatically applies it to determine the fair value calculation.

"The beauty of EASi WorkStream is that it's designed into our software so customers can take advantage of it to whatever extent they choose. They decide if and when to integrate EASi WorkStream into their HRIS, Payroll or Accounting systems," said Mark Ebersole, Chief Technology Officer and President of EASi.

EASi plans to have WorkStream support for electronic grant delivery and acceptance in the first half of 2009. Ultimately, EASi will empower customers to create customized work streams based on a menu of events that trigger specific actions.

Equity Administration Solutions, Inc. sells industrial strength stock plan expensing software designed to handle the accounting, tax and administration needs of companies that grant equity awards. Headquartered in Pleasanton, CA, EASi delivers the most complete FAS123R solution available; addressing valuation, expensing, tax, dilution and disclosure serving nearly a million participants in more than 60 countries spanning four continents.
