Thetus Unveils Next-Generation Knowledge Modeling and Discovery Software

PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 13 / -- Thetus Corporation, a leading provider of knowledge modeling and discovery software, today announced the release of Thetus Publisher 2.5, the company's flagship infrastructure software product. The new version includes dramatic improvements in performance and scalability; a highly-optimized semantic search engine; out-of-the-box integration with databases and other repositories; JSR168 portlets for dynamic web-based interfaces; and automated workflow for incorporating third-party analytics.

Thetus' latest technology will be showcased at this year's GEOINT conference in Orlando as part of Accenture's Knowledge Discovery Capability -- a commercial-off-the-shelf-based platform that combines complementary software from leading vendors to form a comprehensive solution for transforming massive amounts of geospatial data and knowledge into actionable intelligence.

Version 2.5 builds on Thetus' unique ability to increase the value of data through semantic metadata management, automated workflow, and lineage tracking, enabling users and computers to integrate, search, relate, share, and reuse information independent of device, application, source, or structure. Thetus Publisher provides the essential infrastructure for abstracting problem-centric knowledge models from source data, enabling users to form, test, and refine different hypotheses without the need to recreate or relocate data.

"Thetus understands the evolving nature of data and its varied relevance to different users and communities," said Danielle Forsyth, founder and CEO of Thetus. "In today's environment where the only constant is change, organizations must enhance existing data management infrastructure with technology that enables users to quickly and efficiently pinpoint information they require to solve their specific problem."

Thetus Publisher 2.5 provides a flexible framework for knowledge workers to interact with data using the familiar language and context of their domain, freeing them to spend more time making discoveries and decisions and less time sifting through data. Thetus Publisher's inference-enabled search engine allows users to discover and navigate non-obvious trends, patterns, and relationships among data. The product's automated workflow component enables integration with complementary technologies including databases, analytics, and GIS software, allowing customers to create scalable, agile solutions and extract maximum value from data.

"There is an exponential increase in the amount of data being generated in today's environment," continued Forsyth. "There is also a common misconception that more data equals better understanding. Unfortunately, the reality is that the amount of actionable knowledge derived pales in comparison to the billions spent on collecting and managing data. Data demands precise attention in order to maximize its value. Thetus Publisher gives data the attention it demands and provides organizations with the technology they require to leverage dynamic, context-aware knowledge for best-informed decisions, persistent development of best practices, and predictive analysis."
