Costimator OEM V8.0 features more manufacturing data, convenient import utility and enhanced reporting functions.
W. Springfield, Massachusetts U.S.A. (March 13, 2006) - MTI Systems, the leading provider of cost estimating solutions for manufacturing, today announced a new release of the industry's foremost cost estimating software - Costimator OEM. The new V8.0 software upgrade features a significant expansion of the program's knowledge databases, enhanced reporting capabilities and new import / export functionality.
Costimator OEM V8.0 provides OEMs with the knowledge they need to identify and understand the cost drivers in the parts they manufacture and procure. By breaking down and quantifying the true costs of manufactured parts, Costimator OEM allows companies to implement uniform and predictable costing strategies while reducing the cost of parts, from design through to procurement.
The newest version of Costimator OEM has over 2,400 different work centers that cover hundreds of manufacturing processes. Each work center comes with average labor and shop rates for over a dozen countries, including the U.S., Mexico and China. The new import utility provides a quick, convenient method of importing material and purchased- item pricing. In addition, an enhanced Crystal Reports engine allows users to easily customize a wide array of reports.
