Suited for use with Trumpf Punch Press, LongLife(TM) Slitting Tool system combines M4PM(TM) tool steel punch and die inserts with punch and die holders. Punch and die inserts come in Size 56 (0.787-2.205 in.) and Size 76 (2.206-3.000 in.) lengths as well as widths up to 0.250 in. Standard shapes - rectangle, oval, trapezoid, dovetail - compliment choice of rooftop, whisper, 1-way, and flat shears. One- and two-piece die inserts are also available.

Mate Expands Its High Performance LongLife(TM) Tooling Systems for Trumpf Punch Presses
Anoka, Minnesota: Trumpf Punch Press users asked for it - now Mate provides an expanded line of its LongLife(TM) Slitting Tool system to meet the needs of fabricators wanting greater versatility and flexibility.
The Mate LongLife system combines premium tool steel punch and die inserts with robust punch and die holders for the most cost effective slitting tool applications.
The expanded line now includes variable width and length punch and die inserts. The new lengths range from Size 56, 0.787 (19.98 mm) to 2.205 (56.00 mm); and Size 76, 2.206 (56.01 mm) to 3.000 (76.20 mm). Widths are now available in a range up to 0.250 (6.35 mm).
Four standard shapes are now available: rectangle, oval, trapezoid and dovetail. Also available are one-piece and two-piece die inserts. Added to the previously available rooftop shear are whisper, 1-way and flat shears.
Eleven standard discrete die clearances are now available including: .004 (0.10 mm) to .024 (0.60 mm) in .002 (0.05 mm) increments. Customers may also specify their own die clearances, if desired.
This expanded Mate LongLife product line is made from the highest quality tool steel. Punch inserts are made from premium M4PM(TM) steel ensuring highest punch piece quality with maximum intervals between punch regrinds. Die inserts are also made from premium M4PM steel providing exceptional die strength and high wear resistance.
