Shrink Sleeve from MPI Label Systems Offers Tamper Evident, Contour Fitting Sleeves
SEBRING, OH – June 8, 2005 – In response to the increased use of contour packaging, MPI Label Systems now offers its customers yet another innovative labeling option: shrink sleeve technology. This label technology shrinks labels to containers for optimal label area and contour. It can be applied to containers of virtually any size or shape.
“We’ve found that with many of the new contour bottle designs, it is very difficult to achieve full coverage without a shrink sleeve label,” said MPI president Randy Kocher. “The increasing demand in this area of the industry led us to expand our shrink sleeve capabilities.”
Shrink sleeve is a perfect labeling option for tamper evident packages or multi-pack presentations in which a smaller product needs to be attached to larger product. These sleeves are available in PVC, PET or OPS film and work with all types of containers. And, all sleeves are scuff resistant by reverse printing.
The labels feature 360 degree top to bottom decoration to meet a wide range of design needs. MPI also offers a full service graphics department that can turn a customer’s idea into a professionally designed, finished label. The labels are printed using the flexographic printing process with capabilities up to 10 colors.
MPI shrink sleeve labels can be applied by today’s common high speed equipment. Additionally, each label is subject to inspection to ensure the integrity of the seal.
