Shat-R-Shield Locking Base Heat Lamps Are the Integral Solution

Salisbury, N.C. - March 15, 2009 - Shat-R-Shield, the leading and largest manufacturer of shatter-resistant lamps and lighting products, now offers safety-coated heat lamps with "locking-base" design.

"We now provide the safest and most reliable heat lamps in the lighting industry," said Shat-R-Shield President Karen Ponce. "The locking-base feature prevents separation of the base and glass envelope which can occur in extreme temperatures. This feature, along with our safety coating, offers the ultimate protection from broken glass."

In the locking-base design, the electrical brass base and glass envelope are threaded together and secured permanently with hi-temp epoxy. This manufacturing process ensures the lamp components are an integral unit, guaranteed not to separate even in extreme temperatures. Lastly, the skin-tight, clear and tough Shat-R-Shield coating will safely contain virtually all glass and other elements if the lamp is accidentally broken. Designed for industrial, medical and foodservice applications, Shat-R-Shield locking-base heat lamps are offered in clear and red.
