Press release date: February 26, 2014

NEW YORK, -- Wastecorp Pumps, one of North America's leading manufacturers of sewage treatment pumps has launched the Sludge Pro® double disc pump product line. The Sludge Pro is a revolutionary style of sewage pump that operates virtually leak-free and requires no regular maintenance. Both single and double disc pump models are available with fluid handling capabilities up to 300 GPM. 3", 4" and 6" connection sizes are available with maximum discharge head up to 184' or 80 psi.

"Wastecorp has launched an all cast iron, maintain-in-place and easy-to-service style of double disc pump that seeks to provide public works agencies with better alternatives for their sludge handling equipment," said Marc Johnson engineering manager at Wastecorp Pumps.  "Most wastewater treatment operators are thrilled that there is finally a new alternative available for double disc pumps. Having only one manufacturer of this technology for so many years is not good for operators, innovation and quite frankly not good for the pump industry."  More information about Sludge Pro Double Disc pumps is available at  http://www.wastecorp.com/disc-pumps.html.

To inform consulting engineers, municipal wastewater treatment plants and pump distributors about the new alternative available in the double disc pump space, Wastecorp has developed educational videos focusing on the technology. The first video introduces the various features of the Sludge Pro and the advantages of using double disc pump technology. The second video reviews the differences between the Sludge Pro and traditional manufacturers of double disc pumps. Videos are available at  http://www.wastecorp.com/disc-pumps/double-disc-pump-video.html.

Wastecorp is also accepting new distributor applications for Sludge Pro Double Disc Pumps. Distributors can contact Wastecorp for more information at http://www.wastecorp.com/contact-us.html.
