Marsden, The Weighing Group, have the solution to weighing in wet (or indeed the opposite - very dusty) environments. Their new weighing scale Model Super-SS is IP 68 dust-tight and water immersion proof (Certified by SGS, Report Number: SHRL80011/2006).
This scale has a waterproof stainless steel housing, stainless steel top plate and buttons, and waterproof loadcell. It is ideal for any difficult weighing environment i.e. food packing stations, seafood industry, cold store environments etc. The scale runs on an internal rechargeable battery pack, with auto shut down period selectable by the user to conserve energy when not being used. The power cord for recharging the internal battery from the mains is housed in a compartment in the base of the scale. A battery condition indicator is located on the front display panel, so it is easy to see how much power is left in the battery. The Super SS has large red LED displays on both the front of the scale and the back, for ease of use even in low lighting.
With full range tare, parts counting and over/under checking and available in three different capacities: 3kg x 0.5g; 6kg x 1g; and 15kg x 2g, this scale is a must have for the difficult weighing environment.
