Supplied in one-piece, stainless steel housing, TD Series withstands harsh environments of food and beverage applications. Integrated transmitter electronics, process connector, and Pt1000 Class A RTD probe are laser-welded and IP69K-sealed. Resistant to corrosive effects of chemicals and harsh industrial cleaners, 2-wire loop powered transmitter is pre-scaled for ranges of 0 to +100°C and 0 to +300°F. Reaction speeds are 1 sec to 50% and 3 sec to 90% of temperature change.

Sanitary TD Series Temperature Transmitters
One-piece, stainless steel housing meets 3A standards for food and beverage applications
EXTON, PA — ifm introduces the new TD Series temperature transmitters for food and beverage applications. ifm has designed, developed and manufactured the new transmitter to thrive in the harshest environments. The integrated transmitter electronics, process connector, and Pt1000 Class “A” RTD probe are laser-welded, IP69K-sealed which meet the stringent requirements of 3A standards. Robust and durable, the unit is corrosion-resistant against chemicals and harsh industrial cleaners.
The 2-wire loop powered transmitter is pre-scaled for ranges of 0…100 °C and 0…300 °F. Applications requiring different ranges can be scaled with a programming tool via IO-Link. A bright digital LED display indicates measured temperature directly at the instrument for easy verification of proper operation.
Temperature measurement uses high accuracy Pt1000 class A RTDs (resistive thermal detector). Evaluation electronics are optimized for accuracy over the full working range and calibrated to within 0.5°F. The highly engineered tip design reduces thermal mass and precisely locates the RTD element with a constant position and force. The benefit of the tip design is very fast reaction speeds of 1 second to 50% and 3 seconds to 90% of the temperature change. There is no calibration or matching of the RTD with the transmitter module. The TD comes fully assembled and factory calibrated for the highest degree of reliability. This saves both installation and commissioning time.
The TD temperature transmitter product line is available with probe lengths of 30, 50, 100 and 150 mm. Units are available with 1.5” or 2” tri-clamp fittings. The TD Series transmitters are delivered calibrated and ready to install for plug-and play operation.
The 18…32 VDC units have a 4…20mA analog output. Maximum measuring range is -58…302°F (-50…150 °C). Starting list price is $210 (U.S.).
