Industrial grade, pressure-sensitive, 4-wire safety bumper is designed to protect someone or something from hazardous machine conditions. When person or object comes in contact with safety bumper, signal is sent to stop machine. Bumper is fabricated of yellow, heavy-duty reinforced vinyl, and has 6 ft cable and aluminum mounting channel. Applications include in automated manufacturing, packaging and material handling, moving conveyor systems, and automated guided vehicles.

New Safety Bumper System
Rockford Systems offers a safety bumper system that is designed to protect someone or something from hazardous machine conditions. The safety bumper is an industrial grade, pressure-sensitive, 4-wire safety device with a built-in sensor. When a person or object comes in contact with the safety bumper, a signal is sent to stop the machine. Each safety bumper is fabricated of yellow, heavy-duty reinforced vinyl, and has a 6' cable and an aluminum mounting channel.
When properly integrated with an existing control system, the safety bumper and a safety interface control provides a Category 3 safety system. Typical applications for the safety bumper include automated manufacturing, packaging and material handling, moving conveyor systems, moving platforms and lifts, and automated guided vehicles.
