ST. PAUL, MN - 3M Occupational Health & Environmental Safety Division introduces the Air-Mate(TM) SCBAG(TM) Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA). The SCBAG is stored in a unique, reversible carrying bag that opens to form a vest with the SCBA system in place and ready to use. Easily donned in a matter of seconds, the SCBAG is perfect for confined spaces and emergency use. It is NIOSH-approved for entry into and escape from confined spaces.
The full facepiece features a quarter-turn pressure-demand valve for secure attachment. First-breath activation allows the unit to be donned in a non-hazardous environment before connecting the pressure-demand valve. A front pouch stores and protects the facepiece until needed. A lightweight, vest-style harness features improved shoulder and back padding, distributes weight evenly for greater comfort, and adjusts up to 58 in. in chest size for improved fit. The low-pressure gauge is shoulder-
mounted for easy viewing, and an audible end-of-service alarm alerts the wearer of a low air supply.
