Hybrid Ceramic Cylindrical Roller Bearings Have "Optimized" Roller Crown

They Combine Extreme Radial Stiffness and Capacity in a Precision Support

Danbury, CT (September 4, 2002). . . Barden/FAG cylindrical roller bearings are single and double row, high load capacity spindle bearings that feature an exclusive, optimized roller crown design to improve bearing performance under extreme loads. Crown profile on rollers optimizes load distribution.

Typically used in combination with double direction angular contact thrust bearings, cylindrical roller bearings are ideally suited for applications where the combination of radial stiffness, high radial capacity and high precision support are required. The Hybrid Ceramic (HCN) single row cylindrical roller bearing is the perfect solution for today's high speed floating bearing arrangement in many milling spindle applications.

This new Barden product line - manufactured by the FAG Aircraft and Super Precision Division, in Germany - compliments an already extensive offering of super-precision, angular contact and deep groove ball bearings. It also gives users the ability to satisfy machine tool spindle bearing requirements from a single source.
