Zero Dead Space Valves (ZDS)

The new Zero Dead Space (ZDS(TM)) valve is designed for larger reaction flasks from bench scale to pilot plant scale. This new valve, when in the full open position allows for complete product drainage and has no "hang-up" where material can be trapped or suspended. The product drains through openings in the valve stem and will completely empty even including dissolved and small solid particles. When closed, the valve stem seals flush to the bottom of the flask.

The ZDS valve is available as a stand-alone ready to be sealed to any vessel or, already sealed to an ACE reaction flask. The valve is available in two standard sizes. All wetted parts are borosilicate glass or inert PTFE. The PTFE valve stem o-rings are made from Chemraz, so that the valve can handle almost any type of material or chemical.
