June 6, 2007 - Designed for use in extreme conditions, Model PD2266 heavy-duty pump drive can operate wide range of driven applications. It can be designed with 4-8 pump stations, and input horsepower can be divided unequally between stations (maximum 1,800 hp per station), totaling 3,000 hp for unit. Additionally, product's modular approach allows for SAE, DIN, or custom pump interface on any of unit stations.

Cotta Offers Flexible, Heavy-Duty Pump Drives


(BELOIT, WI) Cotta's PD2266 pump drive (developed for up to 3,000 input horsepower) is the latest addition to the company's high-capacity 2200 series. Designed for major engine manufacturers' commercial offerings for use in extreme conditions, Cotta heavy-duty pump drives operate a wide range of driven applications at peak efficiency. The flexible PD2266 pump drive can be designed with 4 to 8 pump stations, and the input horsepower can be divided unequally between the stations, (maximum 1,800 horsepower per station), totaling 3,000 horsepower for the unit. An example of the horsepower division on a 4 pump drive unit might be; 1 @ 1,800 hp, 2 @ 500 hp and 1 @ 200 hp. Additionally, Cotta's modular approach allows for SAE, DIN or custom pump interface on any of the unit stations.

Cotta designs and manufactures a full line of high-speed transmissions used extensively in the R&D and production testing of commercial and military aircraft components such as generators, constant-speed drives and pumps. The company also manufactures industrial and specialty transmissions, available as both speed increasers and decreasers, for use in a wide range of non-aviation applications, including turbine reduction gears, specialty vehicles, industrial equipment, and process machinery. Transmission models are available in a wide range of output speeds (up to 80,000 RPM). Modified-standard and custom models are also available to match specific requirements.
