Universal Lighting Technologies Introduces 875-Watt Pulse Start Metal Halide Ballast

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 5, 2006) - Universal Lighting Technologies introduces the latest addition to its Pulse Start Metal Halide family of ballasts with the new ballast for 875-watt pulse start systems. The P875MLTAC5M ballast is specifically designed for applications where 1,000-watt metal halide ballasts have previously been specified or installed.

The 875-watt pulse start system is ideal for use when retrofitting 1,000-watt metal halide systems for energy savings. An 875-watt pulse start system is capable of providing slightly higher mean lumens than a standard 1,000 watt metal halide system. A power savings of up to 165 watts per fixture is attainable when using the 875-watt system rather than the conventional 1,000-watt system.

The P875MLTAC5M is provided with a pre-wired capacitor and pre-wired starter to facilitate installation into the lighting fixture. This ballast also incorporates four input voltage taps (120/208/240/277) to cover a wide range of lighting voltage applications with just one ballast.
