February 17, 2012 - Utilizing automated digital dieless cutting machines, Prototype Die Cut Parts Service can supply parts with tolerances to ±0.005 in., depending upon material and size. Parts can be produced from 1 in.² up to 60 x 120 in. with virtually any geometry, including narrow cross sections and close hole spacing. Using non-metallic materials, service can produce filters, breather vents, frits, filtration support media, membrane supports, and gaskets.

A new speed-to-market prototype program that delivers precision digital dieless cut parts to help OEMs meet fast product development cycles is being introduced by Interstate Specialty Products, Inc. of Sutton, MA.

Interstate's Prototype Die Cut Parts Program was developed to assist design engineers with speed-to-market product development and delivers finished sample parts in 2 to 5 days, depending upon material availability and part configuration. Utilizing automated digital dieless cutting machines that employ CNC programs, the parts produced feature exceptional edge quality, tight tolerances, and there are no tooling charges, claims the firm.

Suitable for most non-metallic materials, Interstate's Prototype Die Cut Parts Program can supply parts with tolerances to ±0.005", depending upon material and size. Parts can be produced from 1" sq. up to 60" x 120" with virtually any geometry including narrow cross sections and close hole spacing. Typical parts include filters, breather vents, frits, filtration support media, membrane supports, gaskets, and diagnostic test components.

Interstate's Prototype Die Cut Parts Program is priced according to material and part complexity. Delivery is from 2 to 5 days.
