Smith & Loveless Introduces the SONIC START® STREAMLINE(TM) for PISTA®

LENEXA, Kan. - Smith & Loveless Inc. introduces the SONIC START® STREAMLINE(TM) for PISTA® Turbo Grit Pumps now available for new and retrofit applications.

Field tested in numerous installations throughout the United States, SONIC START® STREAMLINE(TM) builds upon the SONIC START® Prime Sensing Technology by utilizing the SONIC START® probe and operating module and then streamlines the rest of the priming system. The SONIC START® STREAMLINE(TM) Prime Sensing System relocates the solenoid valve and frees 50 percent of the original fitting connection points for an improved priming system. Other benefits of the SONIC START® STREAMLINE(TM) for PISTA® include minimized water and debris from reaching vacuum tubing and reduced grit pump pressure off of vacuum tubing and tubing fittings.

"There's (now) no need to clean the probe" said Dennis Davey, plant operator, City of Osawatomie, Kan. "I've looked at it once since it's been installed so there's less maintenance. I'm happy with how it's working."

The outdoor model features the SONIC START® Probe, SONIC START® STREAMLINE(TM) Dome Assembly and the STREAMLINE(TM) Jacket (for most locations). The STREAMLINE(TM) Jacket is both insulated and heated to minimize cold weather issues down to -300F with the probe and dome assembly. It was also especially designed for easy removal. The indoor model features an explosion-proof probe and the explosion-proof SONIC START® STREAMLINE(TM) Solenoid Valve to meet all Class I, Division I, Group D requirements.

The efficient SONIC START® STREAMLINE(TM) for PISTA® comes standard in all new vacuum-primed (top-mounted) PISTA® Turbo Grit Pumps. Existing customers may simply retrofit the indoor and outdoor packages by contacting the Smith & Loveless After Market division at 800-922-9048 or online at www.smithandloveless.com.
