The pressure compensation seal for ventilating junction boxes of solar power systems
Rugged Self-adhesive Membrane by Schreiner ProTech
Alternative energy sources such as solar power are becoming increasingly important and the technology used to produce it has to meet increasingly higher demands. Schreiner ProTech has now developed a pressure compensation seal for ventilating the junction boxes of solar modules that meets the high standards of the IP 67 protection class and is ideally suited for use with solar power systems.
The conversion of solar energy into electrical power requires photovoltaic (PV) modules. Schreiner ProTech has developed a pressure compensation seal (PCS) for ventilating the junction boxes of PV modules produced by KOSTAL Industrie Elektrik GmbH. The PCS is a self-adhesive membrane that withstands major temperature changes undamaged. It is splash-proof and prevents moisture from entering the housing even after the component has been submerged in water for 30 minutes.
Schreiner ProTech supplies the complete system for processing the PCS semi- or fully automatically, as desired by the customer.
