New "ESI Dome" Provides Affordable, Durable and Portable Housing Solutions
Atlanta, GA, January 5, 2009 - Emergency Shelters International, LLC (ESI) has introduced its ESI Dome, a frameless shelter structure that's as strong as a standard building, but as mobile as a tent.
Resembling igloos, affordable ESI Domes are made of molded fiberglass panels that withstand temperatures over 120 degrees F -- or below 0 degrees F. A virtually indestructible exterior gel coating resists sun, snow rain and wind.
Two people can assemble an ESI Dome in four hours. Unassembled a dome fits in the back of a pickup truck or a trailer, or can be shipped anywhere in an 8' x 8' x 4' container. ESI Domes can be taken down and reassembled repeatedly without losing structural integrity.
Circular in design, assembled ESI Domes measure 20' in diameter with 314 sq. ft. of floor space and a 12' ceiling at the center. Space can be increased by adding a 500 sq. ft. loft. Domes have door and window openings, weigh approximately 1,100 pounds, and can be purchased in nearly 40 colors.
The structures are ideal for temporary farm labor housing, military applications, disaster relief housing, hunting and RV camps, quarantine shelters and temporary homeless housing.
