Place-A-Vent Model PFE can remove/ventilate fumes produced by welding, brazing, soldering, laser cutting, and plasma cutting. Product comes in ½ hp model, PFE-350 and 1 hp version, PFE-750. Model PFE-350 has standard 4 x 8 in. hood and inlet/outlet dia of 4 in., while PFE-750 has standard 8 x 8 in. hood and inlet/outlet dia of 6 in. Features included are high pressure fan unit fabricated with 14 Ga steel housing, self-cleaning radial wheel, 25 ft of discharge hose, and 10 ft of intake hose.

New Portable Place-A-Vent Removes Fumes, Odors and Smoke at their Sources
August 2009 - Place-A-Vent Portable Fume Exhauster, an efficient solution for removing and ventilating fumes produced by welding, brazing, soldering, laser cutting, plasma cutting, and similar operations is announced by Vent-A-Fume/Vent-A-Kiln Corporation, Buffalo, NY.
The Model PFE, a mobile version of the original, economical wall-mounted Model FE Place-A-Vent, is a complete, self-contained portable unit which can be wheeled into a location where "at-the-source" fume removal is required. The operator simply plugs in to a standard electrical supply, directs the discharge hose to the desired exhaust outlet and adjusts the collection hood to the fume area.
According to the manufacturer, the Place-A-Vent Model PFE features:
o a high pressure fan unit fabricated with 14-gauge steel housing and a self-cleaning, cast aluminum radial wheel;
o 25 feet of flexible discharge hose;
o 10 feet of flexible intake hose;
o a rigid galvanized steel intake hood with a 20-inch long flexible gooseneck arm connected to a magnetic base for ease in mounting at the fume source.
The Model PFE is mounted on a rugged 4-wheel dolly which makes it easy to maneuver into the proximity of fume-generating welding and similar operations. The 1/2-HP model (PFE-350) has a standard 4-inch x 8-inch hood and inlet/outlet diameter of 4 inches. The 1-HP model (PFE-750) has a standard 8-inch x 8-inch hood and inlet/outlet diameter of 6 inches.
