ASG Announces New Positive Clutch Pneumatic Screwdrivers
CLEVELAND, OH- May 7, 2008 - A new series of positive clutch pneumatic screwdrivers has been announced by the ASG Division of Jergens, Inc. The new Torq2(TM) HPS Series pistol grip drivers are available with torque ranges from 22 lbfoin to 115 lbfoin. An operator controls the torque of a positive clutch tool by varying the pressure applied to the driver. The harder the operator pushes the bit into the fastener, the greater the torque delivered. The drivers have been value-engineered to offer outstanding performance at a moderate cost. They are appropriate for a wide variety of soft draw applications, such as wood screws, self-tapping screws or trim screws.
The new drivers feature an ergonomic design that provides operator comfort and gripping power. The sculpted thermoplastic elastomer housings have been designed to help deliver balanced, non-fatigue performance. A quick change collet facilitates bit changing.
ASG also offers fully auto shut-off tools as well as cushion and direct drive non auto shut-off tools. A complete line of accessories related to the new air drivers, including filter/regulators, lubricators, reels, holsters, quick connects, torque arms, torque testing and error-proofing equipment is available.
