Designed to meet ISO and OSHA standards for tool vibration, they offer ¼ in. NPT air inlets. Cases and internal parts are heat treated. Needle scaler offers hardened alloy steel needles, which are available in 5 or 7 in. round and rectangular shapes. They are suited for metalworking and welding applications.

T.C. Service Offers LV-1 Series Low-Vibration Scaler and Needle Scaler
WILLOUGHBY, OHIO - November 2002 - T. C. Service Company manufactures two pneumatic scalers that generate 90% less vibration than comparable air-powered scaling tools. The TOP CAT® LV-1 Scaler and LV-1N Needle Scaler are both full-power, metal-removal tools that deliver 4,000 blows per minute at a standard working pressure of 90 psi.
Unlike similar tools that rely on lower power or a dampening cover to reduce vibration, the TOP CAT scalers have had the vibration reduced through patented, engineering modifications. The result is that users get maximum performance from the tools without harder work or longer exposures to vibration.
The air inlet size on the tools is 1/4" NPT, with 1/4" BSPT available. Hose size recommendation is 3/8" (10mm). On both tools, the case and internal parts are heat-treated for strength and durability. The needle scaler features hardened alloy steel needles, which are available in both round and rectangular shapes.
Standard equipment with the LV-1 Series Scalers includes the tool itself with operating instructions and a service manual. The LV-1N Series Needle Scalers offer a choice of 5" (130mm) or 7" (180mm) needles, and also come with operating instructions and a service manual. Safety levers are available on either the LV-1 or the LV-1N Series as optional equipment.
The lightweight, heavy-duty scalers are American-made and designed to meet ISO and OSHA standards for tool vibration. Both user-friendly tools are ideal for use in metalworking, welding and other metal-removal applications. Vibration test results are available from the manufacturer upon request.
