June 5, 2003 - Pig Tracking System consists of transmitter, tracking sensors, and standard batteries. Pipeline inspection transmitters handle 2–72 in. pipe diameters. User installs transmitters inside pig, launches pig, and waits for signal from either pig tracking sensors or optional wand. Transmitters are pressure and temperature resistant and water tight. Self-contained sensors are non-intrusive and can be strapped to pipe. Calibration is not required.
