Delta Systems Introduces First Fully Automated Mini Donut Packaging System

ROGERS, AR (February, 2002) - Delta Systems, Inc., provider of leading edge PC-based automation control solutions for manufacturing and distribution operations, introduces their new Mini Donut System to automate the packaging of mini donuts. This new system is a rapid, yet reliable, automation solution for small and delicate food products, such as mini donuts.

The system consists of a unique in-feed mechanism with a high-speed flow wrapper, used to wrap mini donuts in multi-packs. It features a modular system that quickly and easily changes over to 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8-pack mini donut configurations. The system accepts the donuts into a "vibratory feeder" which automatically funnels the product into individual lanes in a vertical position. The donuts are then accumulated and fed into a rotary drum assembly where the wrapper lug strips the set of donuts and feeds them into a Delta wrapper. The mini donut wrapping machine processes 4 packs at 360 donuts/ppm, 5 packs at 450 /ppm, 6 packs at 540/ppm, 7 packs at 630/ppm and 8 packs at 720/ppm.

Delta System1s Mini-Donut System is very user friendly, and includes a no product/no wrap feature as well as a no crimp feature if product is out of place. An outfeed conveyor rejects uncut, unseparated, and/or empty wraps and the system is available in either a left or right hand configuration. Also, the electrical panels are attached for easy troubleshooting and maintenance.

Since 1993, Delta Systems, Inc. has provided quality automation solutions and operates two businesses: Delta Software Inc. and Delta Automation Solutions Inc.
