Jensen Dental Releases New Product for the Preciso Digital Dentistry Solution

Press release date: February 10, 2014

PMMA Millable Provisional Material Adds to Jensen's Growing Portfolio of Innovative Materials

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. -- Jensen Dental announced today the release of Jensen PMMA Millable Provisional Material, a frame based product for use with the Preciso Digital Dentistry Solution's M200 Mill, and other 3M™ ESPE™ Lava™ Materials Approved Mills including the Lava Form and Preciso M500 (formerly the CNC 500). Jensen PMMA joins a large portfolio of other materials available through Jensen Dental's Preciso solution including 3M ESPE's Lava Plus High Translucency Zirconia and Lava Ultimate Restorative, Jensen HT and XT Zirconia, and Jensen WX Millable Wax.

PMMA (polymethyl methacrylate) is used to fabricate temporary dental restorations for a wide range of cases, including more complex indications such as implants or large span bridges. Traditionally, these temporary restorations were produced by hand through an often time intensive process using composite materials. Now however, the temporary restoration is designed over a scanned impression, from either an intra-oral or desktop scanner using Preciso CAD software, and fabricated using the Preciso M200 mill.

"We are excited that our new PMMA material is allowing labs to produce temporary restorations more efficiently and profitably. It creates a variety of new business opportunities for our customers and provides yet another way for dental labs to maximize the return on their digital investment with Preciso," said Joseph Carofano, General Manager at Jensen Dental.

Jensen PMMA is available in 20mm thick frames and in shades A1, A2, A3, and B1. Dental laboratories looking to learn more about Jensen PMMA, the Preciso Digital Dentistry Solution, and how 3M™ ESPE™ Lava™ and Jensen Materials can help differentiate their lab are encouraged to visit www.PrecisoDental.com , a website dedicated to innovative materials, equipment, and education.
