Monitor Reliability Measures the Oxygen Concentration in Control Rooms and Other Closed Atmospheres

Deficiency Alarms Provide for Fail-Safe Monitoring of Breathable Ambient Air - Barometric Pressure Compensation Eliminates False Alarms

POMONA, CA (April 3, 2002) - The full-featured, wall-mounted GPR-35 Oxygen Monitor from Advanced Instruments Inc. provides two adjustable alarms that are factory set at OSHA standard 20.0% CAUTION and 19.5% DANGER oxygen levels. Optional high and low level oxygen alarms are also available. Oxygen concentration measurements are displayed on a 3-1/2 digit LCD. Two color LED alarm indicators illuminate for CAUTION and DANGER deficiency levels - green for safe, red for alarm.

Reliable, uninterrupted service from the AC-powered oxygen monitor is provided by a trickle-charged battery backup with 12 hours minimum operation. Primary power interruption and subsequent battery backup is signaled by illumination of an AC FAIL red LED indicator. Illumination of a LOW BATT red LED indicates that the batteries have discharged to a dangerous level.

Electrical output is 0-1 VDC FS with optional 4-20 mA isolated. Alarm relay contacts allow for output connections to external warning devices such as audible annunciators or flashing lights.

Automatic compensation for barometric pressure changes eliminates the possibility of false alarms. Standard operating temperature range is -10°C to +45°C with an optional extended range of -30°C to +45°C.

Designed for easy installation, the compact, rugged NEMA 4 enclosure measures 10.3x6.3x3.5", weighs 6 lbs., and includes CSA/NRTL (UL) and CE approvals. Optional NEMA 4/12, 4X and explosion-proof (with integral pump and flame arrestors) enclosures are also available.

An advanced galvanic, electrochemical sensor boasts an expected life of 32 months with a 90% FS response in <9 seconds. Optional, remotely located sensors are available.

A flow adapter provides for quick and easy periodic calibration with uncontaminated air or readily available, certified air (20.9% oxygen). Optional monitors can be equipped with an integral sampling pump for a constant flow rate of 2.5 SCFH.

Price for the GPR-35 control room monitor starts at $1400 with delivery from stock. Customized monitors are available for unique applications.
