January 10, 2003 - Model KVB measures opacity or dust concentration in stack gases. Vibration-resistant unit uses laser light source, which provides wavelength stability and 100% beam collimation. Opacity monitor, with weatherproof housing weighs, less than 40 lbs and has 1 mm beam dia. It includes on-line zero calibration feature, and does not require factory calibration. MIP opacity monitor has data acquisition system designed around instrument.

Ducon/ KVB Laser opacity monitor is a lightweight efficient solution for measuring opacity or dust concentration in stack gases. It has numerous advantages over conventional LED based units such as: long term stability, vibration resistant, reliable operation in low and high concentrations and very low maintenance requirements. The use of laser light source gives ultimate wavelength stability and 100% better beam collimation.

Ducon Opacity monitor including weatherproof housing weighs less than 40 pounds and has a beam diameter of about one millimeter. The laser opacity monitor offers many special features not found on other brands such as there is no need for factory calibration, on line zero calibration & the monitor automatically corrects for dirt that can accumulate on these surfaces.

Ducon/MIP opacity monitor is the only opacity monitor in the market with a data acquisition system (DAS) designed around the instrument. The DAS performs supervisory control of multiple monitors as well as data display, data archival and EPA report generation.
