One-Handed Clamp uses self-restraining technology..
November 28, 2001 - AdelokŪ helps assemble clamped components by holding itself closed and in place during installation. It is suitable for rapid clamp assembly and improved stacking methods for fluid lines and hoses, wire bundles, power cables and fire detection sense lines. Juggling of fasteners, standoffs, washers, ties and grommets is eliminated. Clamp can handle payloads of 0.062 to 3.50 in., and can be supplied in 20 different elastomeric materials and shapes.

New "Self-Restraining" Loop Clamp Stays Closed and In Place During Installation
AdelokŪ allows for single-handed accessibility and easy clamping in hard-to-reach locations, significantly reducing production assembly time
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 15, 2001) -- The new AdelokŪ from Adel Wiggins is designed to aid in the assembly of clamped components by holding itself closed and in place during installation. This patented "self-restraining" or heel lock technology allows for ease of installation by taking the burden off installers and allowing them to install several clamps at one time on a single attach point. Holding itself in place not only increases productivity, it also allows for single-handed accessibility and easy clamping in hard-to-reach locations. The new clamp has also received TSO approval for airline use.
Designed for "drop-in" and replacement of all loop clamp requirements, the AdelokŪ replaces and is interchangeable with M85052, MS21919 and similar old clamp designs. Ideal for rapid clamp assembly and improved stacking methods for fluid lines and hoses, wire bundles, power cables and fire detection sense lines, the new clamp eliminates juggling of fasteners, standoffs, washers, ties and grommets. AdelokŪ meets all current industry performance specifications. Clamps are available to handle payloads from 0.062 to 3.50 inches. AdelokŪ can be supplied with over 20 different elastomeric materials and contour shapes.
Requiring only one hand installation and eliminating the need for special assembly tools, AdelokŪ) significantly reduces clamp assembly time. In an actual case study conducted by a major U.S. manufacturer, the time required to install 1200 clamps was cut in half by using AdelokŪ instead of regular loop-style clamps. Total installed savings was $2,140.00, including labor and average clamp costs. AdelokŪ is an advanced version of the universal Adel clamp, the so-called "original clamp" of industry used on military and commercial aircraft and helicopters, turbine and APU engines, automotive applications, off-road, road building and land clearing vehicles, trucks, buses and rail transport.
