A new innovative & patented odor control technology has emerged in the marketplace that not only eliminates odors but also neutralizes pH corrosion, kills biofilm and helps break down grease in pump stations. This new technology is the Vapex unit, which is designed to eliminate odors and stop pH corrosion in any odorous space. The Vapex system is different from conventional scrubbing technologies in that it does not extract the odors from the application and then attempt to treat them, but rather uses the odorous space as the reactor to oxidize the odors and stop pH corrosion.
The Vapex unit utilizes air, water and power to generate a Hydroxyl ion fog that is injected into the odorous space. No chemicals are purchased, handled or stored. The Hydroxyl ion fog is produced via a patented proprietary atomizing nozzle. By flooding the contaminated air space with very fine water particles, a mist, which collects the contaminants and washes them and reactants back to the solution stream. Thus, contaminants never enter the vented air stream. Unlike a scrubber system which draws volumes of air from the contaminated source, Vapex's odor control system keeps the contaminants in the vessel, chemically treating the air space over and over.
