Able to concurrently accommodate up to 6 sticks, each with max length of 23.6 in., feeder incorporates auto change feature that replaces empty sticks with full ones automatically. Design eliminates need to stop production, and changeover time is 2 sec.

Dallas, TX, USA — Hitachi High-Tech Instruments announces the availability of their new Stack Stick Feeder for the Sigma Series modular mounters. The Stack Stick Feeder is especially well-suited for feeding odd-form components to the mounter. The feeder can accommodate up to 6 sticks at a time, with maximum length of each stick 600mm (23.6") and an auto change feature replaces empty sticks with full ones automatically. There is no need to stop production, since 6 sticks can be stocked at a time in the stock area. Changeover time is only 2 seconds.

The Stack Stick Feeder joins other innovative options for the Sigma Series Modular Mounters. The G5S, introduced in 2013, faster and more capable than the world-leading Sigma G5, and with nearly double the accuracy, and offering placement speeds of up to 75,000cph, high speed head accuracy down to 25m, and multi-function head accuracy down to 15m. In addition, Sigma Series mounters utilize the latest Hitachi feeder technology, Overdrive functionality, and other features that have kept Hitachi Sigma Series systems at the head of their class.
