June 11, 2010 - Available in diameters from 05-25 mm, Quick-Release SPT Couplings are constructed from aluminum alloy, which resists corrosion and withstands corrosive fluids. Non-spill flush faces guarantee integrity of fluids, while non-drip design ensures safety of installations and operators and eliminates contamination caused by fluid loss on disconnection. Offering choice of elastomers, couplings are compatible with majority of fluids and are suitable for electrical environments.

Staubli Announces the SPT, a New Range of Non-Spill Couplings for Cooling and Thermal Management

Ø 05 - 08 - 10 - 12 - 17 - 20 - 25 mm

Quick-release couplings SPT for cooling and thermal managment

o Cooling electronic components: converters, medical imaging, telecommunications, data centres, radars, etc

o Thermoregulation

o Water cooling unit (Schiller)

Fluids : glycol water, heat transfer oil, esters, cooling water, kerosene, etc

Non-spill flush faces to guarantee the integrity of the fluids

o No pollution enters the circuits on coupling.

Non drip to ensure the safety of the installations and the operators.

o No environmental contamination caused by fluid loss on disconnection

o Particularly suitable for electrical environments and high voltage.

Locking and high strength materials

o Thanks to a large number of balls, locking is extremely strong and perfectly suited to dynamic incidents (e.g. shocks and vibrations).

o The SPT range is designed to resist corrosion and withstand corrosive fluids.

Compactness and lightness

o Small size and light weight achieved by the design and specific materials used: constructed from special aluminium alloy

Tightness solutions

o A wide choice of elastomers enables the SPT range to be compatible with the majority of fluids and to cover a wide range of temperatures.
