S2 Security 'Making Obsolescence Obsolete' with Release of S2 NetBox Extreme
Next generation network appliance for IP-based physical security to debut at ASIS 2009
FRAMINGHAM, Mass., Sept. 15 -- S2 Security (http://www.s2sys.com/), manufacturer of the S2 NetBox and S2 Enterprise integrated IP-based physical security systems, today announced the immediate availability of the company's next generation of network appliances, the S2 NetBox Extreme. The S2 NetBox Extreme is the first product to be eligible for the company's new "Making Obsolescence Obsolete" policy and will be on view at the S2 Security booth, #4111, at ASIS International 2009, Sept. 21-25 in the Anaheim Convention Center.
Based on the new Intel Atom processor coupled with solid state disk (SSD) technology, S2 NetBox Extreme is geared toward users of midsize S2 Security systems who are looking for both increased processing speed and longer life for their systems. The S2 NetBox Extreme is a super high speed version of solid state product that is designed to enable users to grow their systems as software sophistication increases and new technology capabilities are developed. Because the product measures just 4.5 x 6.5 inches and runs cool enough to operate without a fan, it does not require a computer room for storage. An optional 5-year warranty is also available.
The S2 NetBox Extreme is the first product to be included in the new S2 Security "Making Obsolescence Obsolete" program. This new program enables system owners to leverage the value of their current S2 Security systems toward the purchase of new S2 Security products. The program will be managed through the S2 Security system integrator network in conjunction with S2 Security, and is open to any current owner of an S2 Security system.
